Cyberpunk 2077 Patch Has a Game-Breaking Bug for Some Players

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch

CD Projekt Red has just released the Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.1 for the game after its rough launch last month in December. The much-awaited patch update was highly anticipated as it was to bring bug fixes to the game.

However, a few players have reported game-breaking bugs in the game after updating their game to the 1.1 version. Players have reported better performance but you can break a story mission in the game.

According to Kotaku, a story mission called “Down on the Street” has a bug where Takemura will not call, halting the progression of the mission, having the players stuck in the game. In addition, some players have said that reloading the game with a previous save does not fix the issue either.

If you find yourself stuck in the mission, there is a solution where you can fix the bug. The first thing you need to do before Takemura calls you, is to call up Judy. When Takemura calls you, hang up the phone and finish a side job. At this point, it is just a waiting game until Takemura calls you again, which is apparently after 24 hours in-game time. When you get the call, the mission progresses again and you can continue in the “Down on the Street” story mission.

CD Projekt Red has not responded yet about the game breaking bug that has come with the patch update 1.1. For players who have just started with Cyberpunk 2077, you might want to watch out for this mission and take the steps we have mentioned above. That is, until Cyberpunk gets another update after CD Projekt Red recognizes the bug.
