DayZ is Now One of the Most Played Games on Xbox in Just a Week

DayZ Xbox

Bohemia Interactive’s survival game DayZ reports hundreds and thousands of new players on Xbox, as it becomes one of the most played games on Xbox in just a week after arriving on Xbox Game Pass.

The game joined the Game Pass last week on May 7 and has been trending ever since as new players check out the hardcore survival game on the console. If you are a member of the Xbox Game Pass, you can get the full DayZ game along with its Liviona DLC for a discounted price.

The publishing director over at Bohemia Interactive, Vojtěch Ješátko, responded to the positive reception of the game,

Xbox Game Pass is a great opportunity for us to open the game to a different audience, and to let a massive number of new players experience DayZ in all its crude harshness and beauty, together with the veterans.

Over the years, DayZ has gone through a difficult development, but at Bohemia Interactive, we never lost faith in the game – so seeing its record player numbers across all platforms is a very rewarding moment for the whole team. For us, it also confirms that DayZ still remains an unmatched and unforgettable survival experience

DayZ is undoubtedly a very hardcore, pure survival game, that is doing pretty well ever since its release on PC and after it released on consoles. The game provides you with an unforgiving, authentic, open-world experience where each server contains 60 players with the common goal to survive. The game has no saving option, no extra lives, and starts you off empty-handed in a cold harsh world.

The threats in this hostile world are not only the zombies but also the human players themselves, who might be hunting you to steal your resources. Every man is for themselves, as every mistake you make can be lethal. If you die, you lose everything and have to start all over again.
