Developer Motion Twin has released a big update for Dead Cells called Rise of the Giant. This DLC is free and brings a lot of items that include new enemies, new levels, new skins and much more. The update is out right now for players on PC.
A trailer released showed off everything the fans can expect in the free DLC update. Check out the trailer below:
After the update, players will get to fend off newer badder enemies, with the help of newer and better weapons specifically designed to take out the new bosses. Along with the weapons, the update also dishes out new skills to aid in combat and abilities when fighting bosses or smaller enemies.
The three new skills include a flying pet and single-use scroll that will reveal the current level map.
Meanwhile, for players who are skilled enough to complete Dead Cells with ease, a new hidden level called Cavern, has also been placed in the game. Where upon completion, players will get to experience a new ending for the game.
A new complete hidden level was added for very advanced and skilled players to explore (did someone say Boss-Cells 5?). Unveil a whole new ending to your story by beating the crap out of the mysterious big bad guy that awaits for you there… Yes. There is an hidden boss fight too.
The new bosses have also been added to the various difficulty modes of the game. namely Hard / Very Hard / Expert / Nightmare. Meanwhile some will be waiting in the Cavern secret level.
The update brings a lot of changes and rebalances, which is typical to any update. Last month, a large update was the focus on the rebalance and bug fixes for the game that was released by the developer.

- 10 new enemy types
- 10 new weapons that include the Boi Axe, Giant Killer and a Thunder Shield
- Three new Skills that include a flying pet and a single-use scroll that reveal the current level map
