Dead Space Remake Weapons Guide

Each weapon in Dead Space Remake can play a key role in the game as the more weapons you get, the easier it will become to take on larger enemies. You can’t always rely on melee weapons and will require some firepower and bullets that can allow you to take down enemies from a distance. And since everything wants to come at you, having a weapon that can stop or delay enemies in their tracks is a big advantage in combat.

Weapon #1 – Plasma Cutter

One of the first weapons you will get in the game is the Plasma Cutter, a weapon that you can use to attack enemies from some range, or use it as a melee option. The weapon can be found when you are in Ishimura and go down the elevator in chapter 1. You need to head to the Service Workshop, where the weapon will be just below the writing that says “Cut off their limbs.”

Weapon #2 – Pulse Rifle

In Chapter 2, you can get your hands on the Pulse Rifle, the first automatic rifle that you can use to spray on enemies. What is even better about this weapon is that it has a secondary fire mode where you can use it as a grenade launcher. This variety makes the weapon a great choice against groups of enemies that can get you in a tricky situation otherwise.

The Pulse Rifle can be found when you are in the Medical Deck at the tram station. There will be a dying soldier with the weapon next to him.

Weapons #3 – Ripper

In the third chapter of the game, you will come to a point where you will be exploring the Engineering Deck when you have to refuel the engines. During this stage, you will come to a Machine Shop with the Ripper on the ground next to the decapitated body.

Weapon #4 – Flamethrower

The Flamethrower can be found in the third Chapter as you are on the task to refuel the engines. When you go to the Engine room, you will find a stuck body on the wall with the weapon next to it. The weapon is pretty good at dealing a ton of damage to enemies, especially the longer you use it on a target.

Weapon #5 – Contact Beam

In Chapter 4, you will be tasked to redirect the power to the ADS Cannons from the Mining Admin. As you take the elevator in the Bridge Deck, head to the second floor and go to the Records Office. If you have clearance level 2, you can unlock the door and obtain the weapon inside.

Weapon #6 – Line Gun

Like the Plasma Cutter, the Line Gun works the same way but is much more powerful. The weapon allows you to knock down enemies pretty fast and should be always in your inventory. The Line Gun can be obtained once you reach the Emergency Equipment Storage in Chapter 5. This is another locked room that will require clearance level 2.

Weapon #7 – Force Gun

When used correctly, you can perfect this weapon’s accuracy and use it to one shot one kill enemies. However, this works best when you use it correctly and from close range. The weapon itself can be found in Chapter 6 when you are in the Hydroponics Deck. You can find the weapon in the West Seedling Room A.
