Death Stranding Likes Guide
Below we have detailed how you can get more Likes, and what it does to your character.
What Are Likes For
Likes are basically your experience points which you gain from either structure that you may have built or when you complete an order and deliver items. Your Likes that tally up, in the end, increase your Porter Grade and determine what type of porter you are.
On the other hand, you can also give Likes to other people by either liking their structures or by completing their delivers. Completing deliveries shares the amount of both you and the player that entrusted you with the delivery. Though the amount is not much, you can still gain a lot of you usually deliver cargo.
How to Get More Likes
The best way to get more Likes is by completing Orders. Other than the main story orders, you should also complete standard orders, as they will reward you with more Likes and increase your Porter Grade.
Getting Likes and increasing your Porter Grade will help Sam get better in his abilities. If you deliver items quickly, Sam’s stamina will increase. If you carry more weight, Sam’s ability to carry more weight will increase.
Placing ladders and climbing ropes in pathways are best to get more Likes from players. You can increase the number of Likes if you place a ladder or climbing rope on a path that other player might use. This will not only help others but will give you a lot of Likes the more players use your items.
Another way you can increase the amount of Likes is by delivering the Cargo in the best shape possible. This means that you should protect them from Timefall and prevent Sam to fall over and damage the cargo. If your cargo container passes the limit of damage, the cargo they store inside can be lost forever. You have to be careful not to expose your cargo in Timefall, and use your Repair Spray to fix the cargo boxes.
