Obtaining The Blueprint for Generator

The first step before you get your vehicles is to find the blueprints for the generator which will power up your vehicles so that you can drive them around. Without any charge, the vehicles are no good to you. You cannot obtain the blueprints for the generator at the start of the game. You will need to make considerable progress in the main story of the game before they become available to you.

You will unlock the blueprints for the generator by completing Order No. 9 – Power Supply Unit Delivery: Wind Farm. After the completion, you will successfully obtain the blueprint for your generator. You will need one PCC to craft a generator so make sure that you have them in your inventory and you will be all set to build and charge your vehicles.

Getting your First Vehicle

The first vehicle you have actually gets destroyed pretty early in the game however during this chapter, you can get your hands on another motorbike. The first vehicle that you get in Death Stranding is Reverse Trike which is a three-wheeled bike. It does not do much but it is fast and agile and better than walking. You will need to repair it first and charge it as well before you can properly use it for exploring the world.

Unlocking More Vehicles

As you progress in the main story, you will eventually level up different structures. Sometimes, these will reward you with better vehicles which can be used by you. The most reliable means of transport in Death Stranding are trucks however they are not as agile as bikes however bikes are pretty weak and cannot carry much load as trucks can. You can craft trucks as well. In addition, if you see Mules driving around in their trucks, kill them and you will have a truck to yourself. Bring it back home to repair and charge and use it until you blow it.
