Flamelurker Boss Battle Guide – Demon’s Souls
Our Demon’s Souls Flamelurker Boss Battle Guide details everything that you need to know about defeating the Flamelurker in Demon’s Souls.
How to Beat Flamelurker Easily in Demon’s Souls
One thing that you should know before fighting the boss is that Flamelurker is weak against magic attacks, so make sure that you imbue your sword with magic before starting the boss fight. In addition, this fight is all about flame resistance, so try to put on some rings that allow increased flame resistance or have Water Veil handy. The boss rarely gives you enough time to heal during the fight, let alone use different items to buff your sword, so make sure to prepare everything before triggering the boss fight. Enter the fog, and get ready to dodge the boss’s charge attack.
After the initial attack, get in close and land a few hits before backing off again. Flamelurker will use his huge flame hands for most attacks, so you can expect flame punches, swishes, and smashes. Most of the attacks also cover the entire front of the Flamelurker, so make sure that you either dodge to the backside of the boss or roll backward to avoid his attacks. Dodging at the back might not work for all attacks however, the jump attacks will give you a small window which you can use to get to the back of the boss while it is in the air and land some attacks.
For smash attacks, I will highly recommend that you dodge back as quickly as possible. Not only do they have an exceptionally large AoE, but they also deal a lot of damage to you if you are caught in the radius. If you are lucky and you do manage to get at the back of the boss battle during this time, you will secure a nice window to deal some damage to the boss. Another major problem in this boss fight is that most of Flamelurker’s attacks will also set you on fire, which will continue to deal damage to you. Therefore, it is important to increase your fire resistance as well as avoid the attacks directly.
Keep this up, and you will eventually defeat the boss. Defeating the boss will net you 22500 flames and the Red Hot Demon Soul.
