Demon’s Souls Maiden Astraea Boss Battle Guide – How to Defeat, Tips & Tricks

Demon's Souls Maiden Astraea Boss Battle Guide

Maiden Astraea is a different type of boss battle in Demon’s Souls because you do not fight the boss herself directly. It is one of the easier boss battles in the game, and you will encounter her at the end of Rotting Haven in the Valley of Defilement Archstone. During this boss battle, you will notice that the boss herself does not come for the fight but instead summons a guard knight that does the fighting for her. You will need to fight this knight and defeat him in order to win the battle. Our Demon’s Souls Maiden Astraea Boss Battle Guide will help you defeat this boss in the game easily.

After entering the boss arena, watch the cutscene and get ready to face the Knight. Move to the left side of the wall while staying close to the wall. Make sure that you do not fall into the blood pit below because there are many small enemies here that can quickly overpower you. Keep heading down the path, and you will eventually run into the Knight. This path is fairly small, so you will need to lure the Knight a little out into the open. The Knight is a tough opponent and comes equipped with a strong Mace and a large shield. Apart from melee attacks, it will also use miracles against you. Your Magic will also not work very effectively against him.

The best strategy against this Knight is to try and get to his backside and deal damage with backstabs. Look for an opportunity when the Knight unleashes his powerful slam attack. Once this attack lands, run quickly to his back and land a backstab. However, do not get in the range of this attack because it deals massive damage, and it can also break your block easily. You can look for smaller windows between them to land some attacks, but try to land as many back stabs as possible.

In addition to the powerful slam attack, you will also need to watch out for the God’s Wrath spell attack, which has a pretty decent range. The Knight puts away his Mace and Shield for this attack, so it is much easier to know when this attack is coming. Get back from The Knight at this point and then continue your attacks. Once the Knight is dead, you can head down to Maiden Astraea to conclude the boss battle.
