How to Obtain Essence of Brutality Quest in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep
You will automatically obtain the Essence of Brutality quest after you complete the Pyramid and return back to the Moon. The Pyramid in question is accessed by obtaining the three dream armor pieces. Once you have acquired the three armor pieces, head to the Pyramid and complete it. Once it is complete, you will arrive back the Moon and you will find Essence of Brutality main quest in your log.
To complete this story quest, you will be tasked with three objectives. These are Activities Completed, Hand Cannon Kills and Necromantic Strand Found. For the first objective, you will need to explore the Moon and complete as many patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors so that the percentage reaches 100. For the second objective, simply get 50 kills with any Hand Cannon of your choice. The last objective, however, is to find the Necromantic Strand.
Finding the Necromantic Strand in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep
You can find the Necromantic Strand in Archer’s Line. Go to the northern side of the area where you can take the path to Hellmouth but stay on the right side before the path. You will notice here that a small passage leads to the North East section of the area. This is the path that you need to take. Ahead, you will come across some enemies so make sure that you kill them before turning left and entering the next area.
Keep heading straight and you will eventually arrive in a large hall type area that has a big chandelier in the roof. Make your way to the center of this room and an on-screen prompt will appear which will guide you to the exact location of the Necromantic Strand. Now simply follow it and you will easily obtain the Necromantic Strand this completing the final objective of the Essence of Brutality quest.
