Gate Lord Guide – Destiny 2: Shadowkeep
Our Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Gate Lord Guide details everything that you need to know about unlocking Gate Lord Seasonal Artifact in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep.
How to unlock Gate Lord
Unlocking the Gate Lord Seasonal Artifact is fairly simple in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Make sure that you have access to the premium tier and then simply reach Level 7. Once you’ve reached Level 7, you will unlock Gate Lord which is the Seasonal Artifact of Destiny: Shadowkeep. However, the journey does not stop here. Once you have acquired it, you can continue to level it up as well and every time you level it up, you get more power bonuses.
Gate Lord will grant you access to 25 perks however you can only have 12 available to you at one time. Lucky for you, the game allows you to go back and re-choose these 12 available perks so if you are not happy with your current selection, you can always choose a different set and try them out. These perks can be equipped in certain situations because the game will not allow you to proceed further if you don’t equip them.
This is the very reason why there is no limit on going back and changing the equipped perks. Certain enemies will also require certain perks and if you don’t equip them, you will not be able to defeat them. Hence it is vital that you try and obtain your Gate Lord Seasonal Artifact as quickly as possible in the game. If you want to reassign perks, you can simply go in the artifacts menu choose Gate Lord and choose the ‘Reset Artifact’ option at the bottom and reassign the perks.
However, you must note that you will need to spend a specific amount of Glimmer to reset them. Each subsequent reset will continue to increase in cost. Just like your armor and weapon mods, these mods also require power which must be kept in mind as you equip the mods. You cannot equip mods which do not fit in your Power level cap. You will need to find the perfect balance between the mods to fit them in your available Power level hence making leveling up your artifact even more important.
There are five columns of perks here to choose perks from and as you choose a perk from a column, the next one becomes available to choose from. If you want to equip perks from later columns, all you need to do is select one from the previous column. You can continue to equip as many perks as you would like which stay within the allowed Power limit. You will notice that as you move right, perks become heavier and heavier on your Power consumption. We have detailed all perks below for your ease.
