Boss Battles Guide – Devil’s Hunt

Our Devil’s Hunt Boss Battles Guide details everything that you need to know about each boss in Devil’s Hunt and how to defeat them easily. Since not every boss is properly named in the game, we have given them names by ourselves and they are in the sequence in which they appear in the game so you can easily identify them.

Boss Battle #1 – Creature from the Nightmare

This is the very first boss battle in Devil’s Hunt and is also a very impressive one. The demon you fight in this battle represents the most typical form of a demon which is a black fire-spitting demon which has large front legs, smaller rear legs, and horns that it is not afraid to use in the battle. Right after this boss drops down in the arena, it will slam the ground at its front so you must dodge out of the way and then go back quickly and focus your attacks on its front legs.

Keep hitting it and it will eventually fall at the front where you are hitting it, this will give you a small window to get to its back and land some more powerful attacks. The first boss is pretty straightforward and it will focus on slam and powerful swipe attacks. You will just need to be extremely careful because as slow it might seem, it can turn around very quickly and slam you even if you are at its back.

When it rears and get ready to roar, run away from it because it will roar and unleash a powerful AoE attack around itself which will damage you no matter where you stand near the boss. Maintain your distance until the attack is over and then go back in. Stick with ranged attacks when you can but the most damage is dealt using melee attacks so you will need to get in close for serious hits.

After certain damage has been dealt, the boss will start spitting fire around itself as well along with throwing fireballs around which you must avoid. Make sure you don’t step in the fire and avoid the fireballs altogether because this is the last stage of the battle and you will be probably low on health by this time. The slam and swipe attacks will also be in the mix so keep following the same strategy of dodging and attacking and the boss will die in no time.

Boss Battle #2 – The Saw (Ring Match)

The second boss fight is between Desmond and the outsider The Saw which plays out like a fighting match inside the ring. This battle has different stages however the good news here is that once every stage is over, your health bar is refilled. The first phase is pretty easy. Avoid the attacks and keep punching The Saw which will quickly drain his health. He will fall down and will start showing his demonic powers in his eyes. This marks the start of the second phase in which both your health and The Saw’s health is refilled.

During this phase, The Saw will become the ultimate damage dealer and a few of his hits will drain down your health. You can try to hit him but he will block your attacks and go back to offensive pretty quickly. Once your health is drained, he will put you in a lock and at this point, the battle will end and you will wake up later with your father and a doctor. This is the end of this fight.

Boss Battle #3 – Devil Form Tutorial

This boss fight rather serves as a tutorial for your devil form because after you have absorbed your soul for the first time, you will be forced to reveal your inner demon and will be asked to take control of it. This is a simple boss fight and does not require any special tactics or tricks and you will be able to clear it without any trouble.

Boss Battle #4 – Rebel Executors’ Leader

For this boss fight, you will come across the leader of the rebel executors whose soul you have to take. Anticipating attacks of this boss is very easy because every time he attacks, a prompt will appear over his head which will show that the boss is about to attack. When these prompts appear, you must be well away from the attack range because the leader packs quite a punch and will take a lot of your health with his attacks.

You will find most of his attacks and moves are similar to yours. He will primarily use his punches and swipes to attack you and will also dash around to avoid your attacks. However, he also some additional attacks hid up his sleeves such as the powerful fireball AoE attack which can be easily dodged as soon as you see him creating a ball and getting ready to explode it. The attack prompt will appear over his head as well.

Using your own demon form is extremely useful against the leader as you will quickly take quite a lot of his health when you attack him in your demon form. Use the demon form and most probably, you will end up killing the leader within this form since he is extremely vulnerable to your demon form attacks. Once the leader is killed, absorb his soul and you will be good to go.

Boss Battle #5 – The Protector

Your next boss battle is The Protector of the Prison Gate and you are tricked into fighting this boss by Agares. The Protector is a big boss however it still moves around on its four legs like the first demon boss. Its most common attack is its charge attack which forms a blue barrier on its front during which you cannot hurt the boss and you must get out of its way.

Apart from its charged attack, the Protector will resort to slam and swipe attacks which you must avoid by dodging here and there. Once enough damage has been dealt, the Protector will leave the battle area and go sit on a tower and shoot its powerful blue beam at you which must be avoided by dodging to the sides. At this time, several smaller enemies will spawn in the arena so you must quickly deal with them before the boss comes back down for round 2. If you can, try to lure the enemies inside the blue beam and they will be instantly killed.

Once the enemies are killed, the boss will jump back into the arena to attack you. The slam and swipe attacks will resume. If you go too far from the boss, he will charge at you. Repeat the process until it jumps back on the ledge and starts shooting the blue beam again. Use dodge and focus on the smaller enemies. Kill them to make the boss come back down and repeat the process until the boss is finally killed.

Boss Battle # 6 – Angel

This is the first angel boss that you fight in Devil’s Hunt and it turns out it is a pretty powerful one indeed. It comes wielding two swords and is pretty good with them as well. Your best bet against this boss is hit and run combat because it will easily rip you apart using its blades. The attacks deal too much damage and nearly all of them can break through your own attacks. You must stick to short attack combos and then running away once the boss starts swinging its blades around. Look out for attack prompts on the boss’s head.

Use your special attacks as much as you can but since the boss is continuously moving towards you, you will need to time them right as well. The boss does not have any ranged attacks but it is absolutely brutal at close combat. After some time, the boss will jump up in the air and will perform a powerful attack which spawns randomly around the entire roof. To check where the attack is coming next, look for the electricity gathering at a location and jump out of that area otherwise you will be damaged.

Once the angel is back on the ground, it will resume its normal sword attacks and you must start dodging and looking for attack windows to jump and attack. If you see the angel just standing there, doing nothing. Do not stay too close to it for a long time because it will quickly swoop in its wings and grab you for a powerful sword thrust attack and will then kick you away. Keep your distance when it happens.

Final Boss Battle – The Saw (Part 2)

You will remember The Saw from your earlier encounter with him in the ring however it turns out the Saw is your ultimate enemy here and for the final showdown, you must defeat The Saw in his demon form. In the demon form, the Saw is much bigger than you and one of his arms is made up of a powerful fire blade which he uses as a primary weapon for stabbing and sweeping attacks.

Apart from the sweeping attacks, the Saw also has a powerful double slam attack in which he will slam his blade arm on you twice in quick succession and if you are unable to miss the first one, you are there for the second one as well. Make sure that you dodge out of the way when you see the boss lifting up his blade arm for the attack at close range. Sometimes the boss will also lift one of his legs and try to stomp on you. You must dodge away when it lifts the leg up otherwise it will damage you quite a lot.

When the boss is low on health, it will summon fireballs on the area around itself that you must avoid at all costs. They are not impossible to avoid however even if they do hit you, the damage dealt is not massive so you can dodge a few and then move back to the boss to chip away at its health. For a final boss, The Saw is not really tough and is pretty easy to beat if you are careful with its attacks. Switch to your demon form for some serious damage and eventually, The Saw will die.
