VR Shooter Dick Wilde 2 Released for PS VR, HTC Vive

Review: Dick Wilde 2

Dick Wilde 2 has been released for PlayStation VR and HTC Vive on Steam while Oculus Rift version is slated for release later this week. It is the sequel to the popular VR shooter Dick Wilde and comes with a lot of new features which were added to the game after much fan feedback.

In Dick Wilde 2, players can team up with a friend and head down on the river and take out a wide variety of huge mutated wildlife. The game comes loaded with online cross-platform co-operative features.

Dick Wilde 2 has brand new locations for players to explore with a friend. The rivers or these locations have been infected by a massive outbreak of toxic spillage and has created a foul sludge which has infected the local wildlife. The complete local wildlife has been now mutated into vicious critters.

This time around, Dick Wilde has enlisted two of his apprentices to do the dirty job for him. Both of them must unite and fight the deadly wildlife and the deadly ooze itself to bring back the peace in the rivers.

Players have all new super-powered weapons at their disposal which range from Microwave guns to homemade revolvers. PS VR players will get 16 exclusive Aim Controller weapons as well.

The CEO, Harvey Elliot, of PlayStack, the publisher of Dick Wilde 2, shared the following thoughts on the game.

We are thrilled to see the return of Dick Wilde in another swamp filled adventure. The team at Bolverk have done an amazing job of crafting this new experience and the new online co-op mode gives the game a fresh new dimension that we think players will love.

The game is developed by Bolverk Games and the lead designer, Bo Bennekov said

With Dick Wilde 2 we have crammed in 10+ hours of pure gaming fun, tons of awesome homemade weapons, an array of fierce enemies, cross platform Co-op and the biggest banjo score to grace video games as a medium – if that’s not reason enough to buy a game, I don’t know what is!

Dick Wilde 2 is now available for $19.99 on PSVR and HTC Vive via Steam. It will hit Oculus Rift Store later this week.
