Bethesda Confirms Two Post Launch DLC Expansions for Doom Eternal

Doom Eternal DLC

Doom Eternal will receive two DLC expansions as part of its Year One post-launch content. Bethesda has confirmed that the two DLC expansions will feature single-player campaign content, and will release within a year of the game’s launch.

Doom Eternal developer ID Software was planning to expand the game by releasing extra content, but a recent listing of the game’s collector edition mentions the “Doom Eternal Year One Pass” that specifically notes “Campaign DLC 1+2.” Considering that it says year one pass, it looks like ID Software has more plans in the years that follow. We might even get Year two content as well, judging from the listing.

Unfortunately, ID Software has not shared any more details about the DLC expansions and we are unsure what the contents of the single-player content would be like. As far as the release is concerned, we might get to see the first expansions within 6 months of the launch of Doom Eternal. Followed by the second expansion releasing around the game’s one year anniversary.

Doom Eternal is going to the sequel to the 2016’s Doom reboot. It was just announced last week at E3 2019 and will feature DOOM Slayer back to Earth filled with demonic enemies. The game is set to release on 22 November 2019 and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, PC and Nintendo Switch.

The game will have an online multiplayer mode as well, and more information about the mode as well as the two DLC expansions will be shared at QuakeCon. The multiplayer teaser that Bethesda showed last week featured its BATTLEMODE multiplayer mode that allows two versus one multiplayer experience that is bulti from the ground by the developers. A fully-armed Doom Slayer will face off against two player-controlled demons, duking it out over three rounds if intense first-person combat.
