Below we have detailed how to defeat Gladiator in the game.
How to Defeat Gladiator
In the first phase of the fight, the Gladiator comes with a single weapon which is a long chained spiked ball that he throws straight in front. This weapon has a good range and can go all the way to the other end of the battle area. He also has a shield that he uses to protect itself from your attacks.
The Gladiator is also joined by a few smaller enemies that aid him in the battle. It is best to use them for ammo and other vital resources by executing Glory Kills on them. In the meantime, you should always be on the move to evade the Gladiator’s attacks. The only time you can attack is when the boss’s eyes flash green and he is about to attack. This works the same way as the Marauder boss, where you get this window of opportunity only when you see the eyes flashing.
After you have dealt enough damage, the Gladiator will start stagger and start flashing. This is where you should go for the Glory Kill for the most amount of damage.
In the second phase of the fight, and when his shield is broken, the Gladiator equips an identical spiked ball on his other arm where the shield used to be. Gladiator is more aggressive in this phase and will frequently use both weapons. You should always be on the move by dodging and dashing to either side.
He also comes with a new attack, where he traps within his weapons in a small area, and then sends forth waves of energy. You have to avoid the waves by either jumping or ducking beneath the waves. On the other hand, the Gladiator will also use the weapons to deflect your attacks, which have a chance of hitting you in return. You need to avoid shooting when he starts spinning the spiked weapon and wait for him to attack.
