id Software and Bethesda have just announced Doom Eternal The Ancient Gods campaign expansion for the game. The announcement comes together with a teaser trailer that was just released.

Doom Eternal The Ancient Gods is Part One of the expansion, which can means this is the first campaign expansion that the developer is releasing.

A full reveal trailer is set to be released this month on August 27 at the Gamescom Opening Night Live event. Gamer director Hugo Martin announced the expansion at the QuakeCon Livestream.

Hell was ripped, heaven was torn, and the Slayer’s legend grew. Your rampage of destruction saved humanity from extinction, but it came at a cost. Now there’s an imbalance of power in the heavens, and the true ruler of the Doom universe must rise to set things right.

Your victory over the hordes of Hell spared Earth from a perilous, demon-infested fate, but saving humanity has upset the delicate balance of power in the heavens. Become the DOOM Slayer once again and set things right in DOOM Eternal’s first single-player expansion, The Ancient Gods, Part One.

Travel to previously uncharted realms of the DOOM universe and confront a new challenge head-on when The Ancient Gods, Part One releases for DOOM Eternal later this year.

This DLC expansion is part of the Year One Pass, included in the DOOM Eternal Deluxe Edition and available for purchase digitally. We have more to share soon on this exciting new chapter.
