Bethesda has just shown some gameplay video of its upcoming first-person shooting game Doom Eternal. At the Bethesda keynote over at QuakeCon, the studio shared a trailer and gameplay video for Doom Eternal Battlemode multiplayer and single-player action.
The first gameplay video contained the single-player campaign video that featured a new terrifying demon. We also got to see the demon in action one of his arms is made of a chainsaw while the other seems to look like a projectile shooting weapon. The whole demon can be seen hovering on a small platform affixed with some sort of jets, allowing it to move around quickly.
The demon’s attacks include the chainsaw swing melee attack if the player is too close, and also where it shoots off several small homing missiles from its back that attack the player.
On the other hand, the game multiplayer option Battlemode was also featured in the keynote. Bethesda showed off many of its features include the variety of unique demons that it will contain. Bethesda adds that fighting each demon would be different as they are all unique in their own ways and combat. There is a learning curve to it, but it is not something that is overly complicated or that something that the players will have an issue with.
Battlemode will be a 2 versus 1 game where the slayer will have to fight two demons. to make it challenging, the demons will respawn after 20 seconds with half their health restored when the slayer defeats one of them. To win the game, the slayer has to kill both of them within this time otherwise the cycle will continue. While the demons are tough with their attacks, the Slayer is given agility and speed that can allow you to dodge around and counter-attack from another angle.
This will also complement the environmental objects made to aid you in the fight. The Battlemode arenas will have portals. Jump pads and monkey bars that will help you take down the demons in a fun but quick way.
