Dungeon Alchemist has announced that it is bringing the chills with its massive Winter Wonderland Update. Dungeon Alchemist is an AI-powered mapmaking application for fantasy games, and this will be the third major update for the game, and it is slated to arrive on January 31, 2023. The Winter Wonderland update will arrive at no extra cost for the players and everyone who owns Dungeon Alchemist will be able to jump into the new content without paying a single dime.
The Winter Wonderland update will add tons of new content to the game including the whole map being covered in snow to celebrate the season. Along with this, brand-new winter-themed assets like snowmen, ice thrones, and more will also arrive in the game. The items are over 500 and along with new shiny features, mapmakers will be able to get more creative with their maps than ever before.
Key features of the new Winter Wonderland update for Dungeon Alchemist include:
- Over 500 new assets: Including winter-themed eye-catchers like an ice throne, sleighs, and a snow golem. Bringing the total amount of assets to 3000+
- Let it snow: A brand new snowy terrain type and a snow overlay effect that covers all outside objects in snow.
- New effects menu: Add fire, mist, will-o-wisps and other cool things to your map with an easy brush!
- Import your own objects: want to spruce up the place with a custom .png image? It’s now possible!
- Video export: You can now export a 30-second looping video of your map.

Dungeon Alchemist started its journey as a Kickstarter project back in 2021 by Wim De Hert and Karel Crombecq. Dungeon Alchemist is an AI-powered mapmaking application and it managed to secure funding of €2.4 million making it one of the top ten most funded boardgame projects on Kickstarter. Since its release, the application has managed to grow a community of over 100,000 users that share their creations with each other and inspire them to create even better creations.
Dungeon Alchemist is currently available on Steam as an Early Access game.
