Elden Ring Morgott The Omen King Boss Guide
Morgott the Omen King can be found in Leyndell in Royal Capital, where you will have to fight this boss to progress in the Legacy Dungeon and the story. To get to this boss, you first have to beat Godfrey, and then go east and then climb up to the second floor by climbing the branch. Cross the bridge that takes you to Queen’s Bedchamber and head south to the area where you will find this boss.
This fight is made pretty manageable if you summon Melina to fight alongside you when you begin the battle. Otherwise, you can take on the boss on your own if you look out for the type of attacks you will be facing. Morgott’s temperament and appearance are the same as Margit, where he uses a long blade on his right arm to swing around and summons golden weapons like the hammer and dagger to hit you with quick slashes or a powerful stomp.
However, his attacking moves are far deadlier than those of Margit, while also possessing additional attacks. One of the first differences is the long blade which allows him to swing even faster than before. This adds to his aggressiveness paired with the long combos that are tricky and can be overwhelming. One of the main combo attacks is where it summons the golden hammer in his left hand, dashes at you swipes his main blade, and then smashes the hammer at your location. This attack can be followed by summoning a long spear that it uses to stab at you, but it all begins with a slow animation.
One of the new attacks Morgott possesses is the rain of golden daggers that Morgott summons from above. These daggers fall in an X shape, leaving you plenty of gaps to stay safe within. However, it is best to back off quite some distance as the daggers keep raining down, while Morgott continues with his own melee attacks.
When you drain half of the boss’s health, it will stagger on one knee and trigger the second phase of the battle. This phase is where Morgott brings out poison geysers around it, but you can go for a couple of hits while he is stuck in this animation. Morgott is more deadly in the second phase with his relentless combo attacks, spinning with his blade and smashing the hammer while continuing with additional attacks. This leaves no room for you to dodge and then counter as it will almost certainly have you caught off guard.
Therefore, it is best if you dodge his attacks, perform one or two quick hits, and then back off before he starts his combos again. Additional attacks also include where he can grab you with his blade, dealing a large amount of damage, or instant death if you have less than half health. The other attack is where his ground attacks bring up geysers that stay for a while before disappearing.
