Indie publisher United Label has finally announced the release date of their souls-like boss rush title Eldest Souls at the Future Games Show at E3. The pixel art title Eldest Souls is slated for release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC with a release date of July 29, 2021. The much-hyped title has been developed by the indie developer Fallen Flag Studios.
Sticking true to the boss rush genre, Eldest Souls pits you against its non-stop action of boss fights. There are no normal enemies in the game and all you will come across are different bosses that you will fight in souls-like combat. The combat is fast-paced and will require a strategic approach to kill each boss in the game.
In a final act of vengeance, the Old Gods have unleashed a great Desolation upon the world, turning farmlands to the desert, and rivers to dust. You, a lone warrior, must explore the vast, forgotten Citadel, in search of the Old Gods. Your quest?
Slay. Them. All.

The new trailer showcased at E3 tells the epic story of the world, from the humble beginnings of man to their enslavement by the Old Gods, and finally, to mankind’s eventual uprising. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of the colossal Citadel, where you will overthrow the Old Gods once and all. Each god in the game presents a new and unique challenge and you will have to quickly adapt to defeat all of them.
Each defeated boss will give you access to loot including new powers and abilities. You will be able to combine these powers and abilities together to form your very own custom build suitable for your gameplay style. Apart from the bosses, the citadel also has various NPCs, compelling questlines, and a series of dark and ominous mysteries.
