EKO Software and Bigben have revealed the endgame content and future plans for DLC content for Warhammer: Chaosbane in a new video. After conducting two beta phases and right before the game’s release, the developers have released a new video in which they have released the details of all the free and paid content that will be available to players after launch.
The new video focuses on two main aspects which are Endgame and Post Launch DLC. Starting with the endgame, once players are done with the main quest of Warhammer: Chaosbane, they will be able to restart with a brand new character while keeping all their progression from the last playthrough.
This includes crafting, fragments, money, etc. earned and collected in the initial playthrough of Warhammer: Chaosbane. Apart from starting a NewGame+, players can also participate in additional game modes which are unlocked after completing the main story. These modes include:
- Expedition Mode – Starts a map with a randomly-generated level and it can be played solo or with friends.
- Relic Hunt – After purchasing a map from the Collector’s Guild, players can enter different dungeons and complete them to collect heroic gear.
- Boss Rush – Mode focusing on all the boss battles one after the another for trying them out with different gear and builds.
Apart from the Endgame content, the video also shares information about the post-launch DLC plans for Warhammer: Chaosbane. According to the video, the developers will release:
- Regular updates available for everyone:
- A new difficulty level and new gear
- Permanent death mode
- New Heroic set for each hero along with extra difficulty levels
- Increase in the maximum character level
- Paid Updates (Included with the Season Pass)
- The first DLC will offer new emotes and a passive skill letting you increase the chances of finding heroic items.
- The following DLC will then add a passive skill letting you more easily find God fragments, as well as an alternative God skill tree for each character.
- The third DLC will contain new companions for all playable characters.
- The fourth DLC will contain an entirely new story, told through a new act, separate from the main campaign, taking place in never-before-seen environments. This time, instead of the forces of Chaos, you’ll face off against ancient undead evil in the form of the Tomb Kings.
This sounds like a very promising long-term plan for Warhammer: Chaosbane. Warhammer: Chaosbane is the first action RPG to take place in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe. It will plunge the players deep into the heart of the Old World. Players will jump in the shoes of a human, a high elf, a wood elf or a dwarf and discover the iconic locations from Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe.
Warhammer: Chaosbane will be released on May 31, 2019, for players who purchased the Magnus Edition and Digital Deluxe. The normal versions will release on June 4, 2019. It is slated for release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
