ROCKFISH Games has announced that their upcoming space-shooter EVERSPACE 2 is coming to Xbox Game Pass while the full release has been pushed into 2023. The announcement comes after a partnership between ROCKFISH Games and Microsoft and EVERSPACE 2 will arrive in Game Preview on both Windows 10 and Windows 11 Store through Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Apart from the Xbox Game Pass release, pay-per-download will also be available on the Windows Store for $39.99. Michael Schade, CEO, and co-founder of ROCKFISH Games said:

The deal not only enables space pilots with Game Pass to jump in the cockpit early, but it also provides extra funding for our team to complete the story campaign as promised, really nail the endgame, and keep pushing the envelope on all platforms.

Apart from the Xbox Game Pass launch, the developer also revealed that the upcoming third major content update for EVERSPACE 2 is also on track and upon its launch on November 3, 2021, it will add a fourth star system Khaït Nebula to the game. Khaït Nebula will be filled with new alien lifeforms and secrets around the mysterious Ancients to you to discover. You will also come across a new sub-faction in Khaït Nebula, another new companion, and much more content.
The experimental release for the Khaït Nebula content update for EVERSPACE 2 is slated for October 22, 2021. With this announcement, the full release for EVERSAPCE 2 has been pushed further into 2023. A confirmed release date or window is not known at this point however as ROCKFISH Games develops the title, we will get to know more about the game in the coming months.
ROCKFISH Games delivered an absolute blast of a sequel with EVERSPACE 2 and we have its wonderful Accolades Trailer to prove it, alongside the Incursions Update, the teaser trailer for its Drake: Gang Wars update, Xbox Game Pass arrival trailer, Zharkov: The Vortex Update, First Early Access Update trailer, detailed roadmap reveal, Early Access Preview, and Early Access Launch announcement trailer. EVERSPACE 2 started its journey as a Kickstarter project during which it showcased in-game locations, HOTAS support, exclusive Closed Beta, gameplay trailers, Closed Alpha, and Concept Art.
Its Early Access launch was delayed on two separate occasions, one in March 2020 and then again in November 2020. Its Kickstarter campaign had a massive goal of $493,000 which was achieved on its final campaign day. The developer kept gamers in the loop with a regular influx of new information during this period. We were lucky enough to get our hands on an early access prototype of the game back in May 2020 for our preview.
