Amigos in Far Cry 6

Similar to Far Cry 5, Far Cry 6 brings back pet animals as Amigos and there is a decent range of Amigos in the game as well. Your Amigos will be your support in combat, and they will help you out in various ways. There are different types of Amigos in the game and each of them helps out the player in various ways. You have combat amigos who will help you in taking down the enemies by actively taking part in combat and then you have stealth amigos who lay in the shadows and take out your enemies silently.

Some amigos also distract your enemies instead of taking them down so you can get behind them for kills. You can control your active Amigo and give them an attack or return command. There is not much else that you can do and some of your Amigos will attack your enemies without your command as well. Each of them comes with its own pros and cons so you can just unlock them all and try them all first before sticking to one for the rest of the game.

You can use the Amigos tab on the pause screen to summon and even remove your Amigos if you do not want them with you on a specific mission. You must know that if your Amigo is downed in a fight and you do not revive them, there is a long cooldown period after which you can summon it or another Amigo. Other than that, switching between Amigos also has a cooldown that is much smaller, but you will need to wait until you can re-summon or change them again.

Unlocking Amigos in Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 comes with a variety of Amigos for you to unlock and use in various ways. We have detailed all of the Amigos below and how you can access them in the game.

Guapo

Guapo the alligator is the very first Amigo unlocked for you in Far Cry 6. You unlock Guapo immediately when you progress in the main story a little bit. He is the pet crocodile of Juan Cortez and you find him on Isla Santuario in the third mission of the main story so Guapo is not hard to find in the game.

Chorizo

Chorizo is the pet dog of the mechanic Philly and you meet with Chorizo when you work towards gaining the support of the Montero clan. After completing the initial mission, you can interact with Chorizo to complete two Yaran Stories Whos a Good Boy and Fetch Quest. For the first one, you will need Crocodile Meet. A Crocodile Hunting spot will be marked on your map so you just simply follow that marker and get some Crocodile meat. The next Yaran Story is simply a follow quest so keep following Chorizo and keep opening the boxes he digs up. Complete the quest and you will unlock Chorizo as an Amigo.

Chicharron

Chicharron is a wild rooster that falls in the attack Amigo mode and it comes with a deadly launch attack. To unlock Chicarron, you will need to complete Yaran Story Man’s Best Enemy. Head to the farm marked on your map and speak with Reinaldo. Now make your way to the location where the dogs are being bred.

Once you are there, you will need to defend Chicharron from the attack dogs. Kill all of the dogs and you will be able to add Chicarron to your Amigos list. To make the fight easier, you can shoot the target in the middle of the arena to spawn a dummy. The dogs will start attacking the dummy giving you a small window to plan your next move.

Boom Boom

Boom Boom is yet another Amigo that you can unlock in Far Cry 6. You will need to complete the Yaran Story named Boom or Bust first. You get this Yaran Story automatically by following the main story. The quest is simple as Juan will ask you to find a shipping container which is located on the west side of the village. To make things easier, you will also hear a dog bark when you are near it. Simply open the container to complete the story and also unlock Boom Boom as your Amigo.

Oluso

Your final Amigo in the base game is Oluso and you will need to complete a Treasure Hunt task to unlock it. In the Oluwa Cave, you must find and bring the three Triada Blessings. Just follow the guide and bring all three Triada Blessings to the Oluwa Cave and you will unlock Oluso and use him alongside combat.

Champaign

Part of the Vice Pack, it comes with your Ultimate Edition or the Ultimate Pack if you purchase it later. Unlocked automatically in the game from the start if you own the Vice Pack.
