Developer and publisher Giants Software has added two new features in Farming Simulator 22, which are Greenhouses and Beekeeping. The two new features introduce new ways of farming commodities such as strawberries, lettuce, and honey.
The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer that showcased the addition of the two new features. Check out the trailer below:
Take on the role of a modern farmer and creatively build your farm in three diverse American and European environments. Farming Simulator 22 offers a huge variety of farming operations focusing on agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry – now with the exciting addition of seasonal cycles!
Both the Greenhouses and Beekeeping features will now come in the full version of the game when it launches next month on November 22 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Stadia.
With Beekeeping, you can take full advantage of how beekeeping works and how you can harvest the golden nectar of life which is honey. By placing beehives in proximity to canola, potatoes, and sunflowers, the yield of honey will rise thanks to pollinating.
The honey is generated in pallets, that you can then sell or directly deliver to the cereal factory, to be used among other ingredients to produce a crunchy breakfast product. The seasonal variation will also affect the yield as the summers will get you the highest amounts of honey, while winters will get you nothing.
The second new feature is Greenhouses, which allow you to prepare for winter. While your lands are covered in snow, you can generate additional income by building greenhouses in varying sizes. With plants and trees withered during the cold months, growing strawberries, lettuce and tomatoes will still provide a green sight, as long as freshwater is provided. And the profitability of the farm during winter is guaranteed.
