Final Fantasy XIV Tower of Zot Guide

There are three main bosses you will encounter Tower of Zot in separate phases. Each of the bosses is a sister that brings their own set of unique attacks that you and your party will be facing. Along with the main bosses, you will also be facing different mobs in between the boss fight, where you will be fighting against Tempered Imperials, Zot Armored Fiend, and the group of Zot Sky Armor.

Minduruva

The first sister you will be facing in this dungeon is Minduruva, who immediately starts with the Manusya Bio tankbuster. This attack is indicated by the large red icon that pops up, showing where the tank will inflict poison. The second attack is where things get tricky with the Manusya Blizzard III, which is a conal AoE attack that comes out from Minduruva.

The Blizzard III is usually followed by Manusya Fire III attack which will send forth a small circle of AoE attack that spreads throughout the entire battle arena, where the best chance of avoiding this attacking is staying within close range from the boss, close enough where you can land melee hits. Another attack is the Manusya Thunder III, which are multiple AoEs that are sent off in cardinal directions starting from the boss. You need to be in a position that is diagonal to avoid these attacks, or run away out from one and then get back in to avoid.

Sanduruva

After finishing off Minduruva, and the second mob enemies followed by the first sister, you will be facing yet another boss in this dungeon, and this time it will be Sanduruva. This boss fight is significantly difficult compared to the last fight as Sanduruva possesses many attacks that are bound to catch players off guard.

Although the attacks have a tough mechanic to anticipate, if you and your party know how to work them out by anticipating them, Sanduruva might not pose any other threat you should be worrying about.

Sanduruva begins with a tankbuster called Isitva Siddhi, followed by the Prapti Siddhi. These are a quick succession of AoE attacks that are cast in line with the direction of each party member. However, this attack only targets each member one at a time and can be easily dodged away when you can anticipate them.

The next attack is the Manusya Berserk, which produces five orbs that will blow up into huge AoEs, but there are gaps that you can go through and scamper towards the edge towards the side of the battle area.

Sanduruva also has an unavoidable attack which is the Manusya Stop where a targeted player will be frozen, followed by the Prapti Siddhi attack which will damage them. This is where you will require your healers to be at the ready to keep the fight going and avoid getting a player hit twice.

The last attack is the Manusya Confuse, which is where the boss will bring forth five clones in the battle area, leaving you to find out the real Sanduruva. The clones will then turn to orbs and blow up like the Manusya Berserk attack.

The Magus Sisters

The final boss is where all the three sisters now join to fight against you in the Tower of Zot, where you have the first appearance of Cinduruva who now joins Sanduruva and Minduruva.

This phase of the fight can be overwhelming but you should be looking on the ground and dodging the AoE attacks while dodging away from the magical attacks the sisters through at you. When the three sisters show up together, they stand in three corners in a triangle, producing AoE attacks at you.

In the triangle formation, a magical spell will be visible on the floor, and you have to pay close attention to what they say just after the Delta Attack. The sisters will either say Thunderous Tempest, Glacial Ice, or Insatiable Flame, and you have to react accordingly just as the attack begins.

In the glacial ice attack, you will have to dodge the first proximity explosion, followed by the Manusya Blizzard III attack, ending with another proximity explosion. If the attack is Thunderous tempest, you need to dodge all the AoE attacks that highlight on the ground. The Insatiable flame is where the entire floor is covered with an AoE attack that can only be avoided if you are close to the caster.
