Sony has announced that its final State of Play presentation of 2019 will be livestreamed next week. The presentation will be livestreamed on December 10, 2019, at 6:00 am Pacific Time. This will be the fourth and final State of Play presentation of 2019 and also the last one before we kick into 2020, the year in which we will finally get the next-gen consoles. Sony has held three State of Play presentations earlier this year, the first one in March and the second one in May and the third one in September.
The presentation will be around 20 minutes long and during the presentation, Sony will show new game reveals, release date announcements and new gameplay footage, PlayStation Worldwide Studios updates and much more. Despite the next-gen consoles coming next year and Sony exhausting most of its exclusive video game lineup, we still have a decent time to get some more amazing exclusives before the next-gen arrives.
We know that The Last of Us: Part II is arriving next summer, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is arriving right after the holiday season in January 2020. We also have the officially licensed game of the Predator franchise called Predator: Hunting Grounds scheduled for a 2020 release. We can expect to see a release date confirmation of Ghost of Tsushima a title that has been hiding in the shadows ever since E3 2018.
Despite the next-gen being so close, Sony has confirmed in its announcement that no next-gen plans will be revealed during the upcoming State of Play presentation. This means that we will still not get to see anything related to the next-gen console by Sony or any of its accessories. We still don’t know which exclusive titles will release alongside PS5 when it comes out next year however we can expect to see next-gen news in early 2020 because Sony has to eventually reveal its new console.
