Fire Emblem: Three Houses Releasing on Nintendo Switch This July

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Nintendo has announced the release date for the upcoming Nintendo Switch game Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The game was originally set to launch in Spring of 2019, but after a slight delay the game’s confirmed date is set for 26 July.

The deputy general manager Yoshiaki Koizumi has set the date for the game in July after a slight delay to work more on the development that is necessary for the title. The announcement was made yesterday at the Nintendo Direct event.

A trailer was also released that you can see below:

In the game, players will play as mercenaries who they can customize and name as they like. The gameplay will feature a lot of strategy combat but you take the role as a professor who has to lead the head student from one of the three houses in the game.

The professor is part of the Officer’s Academy that is split into three houses; the Blue Lions, the Golden Deer, and the Black Eagles. The Blue Lions are led by Dimitri for the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, the Golden Deer is led by Claude for the Leicester Alliance, and the Black Eagles are led by Edelgard for families from the Ardrestian Empire.

The game is set in a land called Fodlan, where players are expected to work with the Church of Seiros and bring students on missions to grow in strength and to learn new skills and abilities along the way. This is where players will help and guide students in growing in combat and skills at weapons.

As you can see, this setup allows players a different perspective on the story depending on what house they choose to train. Regardless of your choice, the narrative will have students training in school and then going out to distant lands to battle.
