Astragon Entertainment and Misc Games have announced that their fishing title Fishing: Barents Sea is coming to consoles as Fishing Barents Sea – Complete Edition. The game will release on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch and it will include all the content that was released for the PC version which includes updates and DLC. This will be the most complete bundle of the game which will also include the new King Crab DLC.
Fishing Barents Sea – Complete Edition takes place in the icy coasts of Northern Norway where players will be able to make their dream of their own fishing boat come true. The game features an extensive and realistic map that covers the fishing port of Hammerfest. Players will begin their journey by refilling their stock of baits, lines and other functional fishing equipment before they head out to a successful fishing trip.
As players head out to open seas, they will encounter many AI ships and boats making the world more alive. The seas will also vary as sometimes players will encounter calm seas and sometimes stormy seas which will increase the challenge. Players will have access to more than 12 boats and ships in the game. Each fishing vessel will come with its own unique characteristics. Players will also be able to employ a wide variety of fishing methods to catch fish.
Once the players have mastered the art of long line fishing, they can move forward to net fishing and then ultimately to trawling on the game’s largest ship, the officially licensed Hermes Trawler. Each fishing method comes with its own unique mini game which will keep the players entertained. Apart from five different types of fish, players will also be able to catch crustaceans in the specially designed crab ships.
As players play the game and progress, they will be able to purchase new and better ships which will offer bigger storage capacity, higher speed, and extended fishing quotas. Players can also upgrade their engine, storage and radar capabilities. Players can also hire crew members which will aid them in various tasks to ease their workload
The Complete Edition of Fishing: Barents Sea will only release as a digital title on Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The release date for Fishing Barents Sea – Complete Edition is December 10, 2019. The PC version of Fishing: Barents is now available on PC.
