For Honor Getting a New Kyoshin Hero in the Upcoming Update, Free Weekend Announced

Ubisoft has announced that For Honor Year 5 Season 2 – Title Update 2 is releasing on July 22, 2021, and it will bring a new playable Hero, the Kyoshin. Apart from this, For Honor will also be free to play from July 15 to July 19, 2021. Normally, the free weekends give players a chance to try out the newly released updates however this time around, the free weekend appears to be happening before the release of the upcoming update.

The Kyoshin are mystical Samurai wielding a concealed blade and their elegance and prowess leave everyone in awe on the battlefield. The Kyoshin will obviously join the Samurai faction and these warriors have deep connections to the spiritual realms. They are specially trained in order to learn the art of fighting with Shikomizue, a concealed single-handed blade, and a scabbard.

The official press release describes them as:

As they flow through battle, their heavenly powers can be used against enemies while their special Kaze Stance blocks incoming attacks, allowing them to retaliate quickly.

As soon as the release of the update, you will be able to purchase a package from the first-party stores that will include the new Kyoshin Hero, one exclusive Ornament, one Elite Outfit, seven days of Champion Status, and three scavenger crates. If you would rather get the new Hero with in-game currency, you can wait until August 5 and unlock Kyoshin for 15,000 Steel in-game.

The free weekend for For Honor is now live and it includes all platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. During the free weekend, players will have full access to the Standard Edition of For Honor that includes the story mode, all multiplayer modes, 12 playable heroes and 30 maps. PC players who will want to purchase the full game after trying it out during the free weekend will be able to get the game at up to 85% discount.
