Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 Splashdown is currently ongoing with its full watery force and it is getting a brand new update JoyRide which will add drivable vehicles to the game. This was already leaked earlier when Splashdown went live however the official announcement has arrived and the update is slated to arrive tomorrow on August 5, 2020. The release of the update was announced on the official Fortnite Twitter account.

Since the release of Season 3 for Fortnite Season 2, this is the second major update for the season. As part of the first major update, we saw many map changes that brought Risky Reels back to the ground after remaining underwater for quite some time. If you’ve been following Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3, then you would know that the island went underwater since the season Splashdown arrived and the majority of the island went underwater. The water has been receding since and after the first update, the water was removed from a lot of places.
With the upcoming update JoyRide, since Drivable vehicles are coming to the game, we can be certain that water will now go down even further and open up access to even more areas of the map so that players can drive around the brand new cars. Fortnite has always featured a large number of vehicles on the map but none of them were drivable even with a large network of roads all around the map. However, this is about to change with the new JoyRide update as players will be able to move around the map in a different number of vehicles.
