Frictional Games has officially revealed the first gameplay from its upcoming signature horror title Amnesia: Rebirth. The new 5-minute gameplay video reveals new environments, puzzles, and monsters. Amnesia: Rebirth is one of the most highly anticipated horror games of this year and will release on October 20, 2020, on PC and PS4. Pre-orders are now open on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and PS4.

The new trailer is a five-minute video and it shows plenty of gameplay in short clips. You get to see monster chases, puzzle-solving, many new environments including the inside of a tank. The chase sequences featured in the game will include obstacles as you try to escape many different monsters in the game. The trailer however only gives us a small sneak peek at one of the monsters featured in the game.
Sticking close to the original formula of the original Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Rebirth is also played in a first-person perspective and brings back everything good from the original game while building further upon it with improved gameplay mechanics and a deeper narrative experience. The original press release describes the game as ‘Rebirth is a new descent into darkness; a harrowing journey that will leave a lasting mark on the players for years to come.’
Amnesia: Rebirth was announced earlier this year in March by Frictional Games and now we are finally close to playing the game. Recently, Frictional Games also announced that the original game Amnesia: The Dark Descent is now open-source which means that all developers are now free to use the game code of the game to create their own masterpieces as long as they stick to the guidelines.
