Experience the World of Frostpunk Before the Frost with The Last Autumn DLC

Review Frostpunk The Last Autumn

11 bit Studios is releasing the biggest DLC until now for Frostpunk The Last Autumn next month which lets players experience the world before the frost. The whole world of Frostpunk is affected by the winter but the latest DLC will take players back in time and allow them to experience the world of Frostpunk before the winter arrived and took everything away. The new DLC will completely change the perception of the frostbitten landscape that players of Frostpunk are used to see in the game.

The Last Autumn is probably the last time in the world when the people saw a world without the bitter cold and frost. Players will re-live the last moments of a society that will soon be engulfed by a never-ending winter. This world is full of life and energy and everything is normal as human civilization tries one last time to build a generator in an effort to save the people and defeat nature. Instead of the harsh winter environments the base game has, The Last Autumn will show a world that is slowly getting engulfed by the winter.

You will be able to experience the uneven battle against winter as it slowly takes over the British Empire and threatens its collapse. The DLC will add brand new buildings, technologies and Books of Law that will assist you in navigating through unprecedented social issues and shape the Frostpunk society in ways that were not possible before. Frostpunk Lead Designer, Kuba Stokalski said:

We’re really excited to show our latest work to the community. The Last Autumn will debut a month later than originally planned, but we firmly believe that it will be worth the wait since it’s one of the most amazing things we did with Frostpunk so far. And the story doesn’t end here. The third DLC is coming so 2020 will be a big year for Frostpunk.

The Last Autumn DLC is included in the Frostpunk Season Pass and all players who own the season pass will get the DLC for no additional charges. Players who own the season pass have access to The Rifts, The Last Autumn and the third unannounced DLC pack which will arrive later in 2020. The Last Autumn will arrive on PC on January 21, 2020, on PC while consoles will receive the expansion much later.

11 bit studios has also announced that the sheet music for the game’s in-game OST is now available for download. Frostpunk’s ‘Suite for String Quartet’ by composer Piotr Musial is comprised of the game’s main theme and accompanied by the music from ‘The City Must Survive’. This is a great release and a treat by the developer for the Frostpunk community which is inclined towards music and can use the sheet for musical interpretations.
