Frostpunk On the Edge PC

11 Bit Studios has announced the final expansion for its game called Frostpunk On the Edge. A teaser trailer was also released confirming the announcement of the expansion. On the Edge is the last expansion that you can get from Frostpunk’s season pass.

The events of On the Edge are set in a place called New London, which after a massive and deadly storm is where the story of Frostpunk comes to an end. The expansion contains new story content with an array of challenges that are set on a new but desolate map. The game also introduces some unique mechanics that will help utilize the Frostland map view.

Lead Designer of the game, Maciej Sułecki had this to say about Frostpunk On the Edge expansion,

The people face new challenges that are catalysts to spark up divisions, new problems, and conflicts based on the fact that people might have different points of view, different perspectives. This is the Edge that you will face as the leader of the society that survived the great snowstorm of Frostpunk.

The teaser doesn’t give out much information, which means we might have to wait for additional details from 11 Bit Studios. However, the announcement does mark the end with the final story expansion for the game. The game previously got two other DLC expansions which were called The Rifts, and The Last Autumn.

The Last Autumn is the latest in the season pass and is currently the biggest DLC for the game. The expansion was released back in January of this year for PC, which let players experience the world before the frost. The DLC added brand new buildings, technologies, and Books of Law that assist you in navigating through unprecedented social issues.
