Frostpunk: The Board Game had barely begun its Kickstarter funding which reached its goal within an hour, with over 3,000 backers contributing to reach the goal in a mere 54 minutes.
Frostpunk: The Board Game is a tabletop adaptation of the best selling survival city-builder that is forged by Glass Cannon Unplugged with support from 11 Bit Studios.
The initial goal, which was set at 200k Euros, took exactly 54 minutes to complete. The developer of the game now plans to stretch the goals to add extra flavor to the experience. One of these goals is a one-of-a-kind companion app that allows distant players to enjoy multiple copies of the game together in a shared environment.
CEO of Glass Cannon Unplugged, Jakub Wiśniewski had this to say,
