Indie developer CarloC Games has released the first gameplay trailer of their upcoming title Full Metal Sergeant. In Full Metal Sergeant, your goal is to train your new recruits in just 12 weeks and convert them into soldiers ready for war. You must develop your very own boot camp and manage the training of your recruits while making sure that they are not pressured too much into their training. As a bonus, you get to insult your recruits to your heart’s content as well.
Check out the gameplay trailer for Full Metal Sergeant below before we jump into additional details:
The trailer shows us various ways by which you can train your soldiers in the game and also shows that you should never touch your sergeant. There are various stamina-building courses and exercises in the game and also some shooting exercises which will increase the shooting skill of your recruits.
You can assign various assignments and training sessions to your soldiers, but you must be aware of each soldier’s stamina because the harder you train them, the more stamina is drained from them and if you push them too hard, this will only make it worse for them. Once their training is complete, you will come across the final mission which is the main test of your recruits.
Key features of Full Metal Sergeant include:
- Main Loop: 12 weeks and a final mission.
- Two parts (like in the movie). The first one is training-focused (management) while the second one is the battle (strategy).
- Insult Mode can be enabled in order to push the recruits’ motivation. The sergeant barks will become stronger.
Full Metal Sergeant is slated for release at the end of 2022 however the developer has not yet announced a confirmed release date. If you like the game, you can head over to its Steam page and add it to your wishlist right now which will keep you updated on any further developments about the game.
