ININ Games and TAITO have announced the launch of a major update for G-Darius HD which brings three new versions of the game for free. The new update is now live for G-Darius HD for all PS4 and Nintendo Switch users and apart from the new game versions, players will also find tons of new features and gadgets in the game for their use at no extra cost. All you need to do to access the new content is simply update your game and you will have the new content.
G-Darius HD already had two versions of the G-Darius HD, including the original 1997 release of G-Darius and its high-resolution version G-Darius HD. Now with the new update, the game will have three new additional versions added which as well will further increase the overall value of the package.
The new versions include:
- G-Darius Ver.2 was first released in 1998 and is an updated version of the original G-Darius which was initially published one year earlier. While the story remains the same, G-Darius Ver.2 comes with a beginner mode, rapid-fire function, and a lot of adjustments to the gameplay.
- G-Darius Ver.2 HD comes as an HD version of G-Darius Ver.2
- G-Darius for consumer adds the 1998 Japan-released console port of G-Darius
Apart from these three versions, the game also has new gadgets, modes, and settings to tinker with the experience. The new gadgets include the Boss Gadget which helps you identify the weaknesses of the enemy bosses, the Zone Map which gives you a map of the entire zone along with the Yazuka Timer which shows you the time until which YAZUKA appears on the screen.
A new Training mode will help new players to get ready for the real action while the Replay Gallery will let you see your best runs again. The free major update will be available for G-Darius HD independent release sold in the US and EU along with the Darius Cozmic Revelation version.
