GameMill Entertainment and Hasbro have revealed their brand new team-based third-person shooter G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout. G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout will release on October 13, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch and will allow you to play with your favorite heroes and villains from Hasbro’s G.I. Joe franchise. You will have access to a diverse character roster from Team Joe and Team Cobra in this action-packed adventure releasing in two months.
In G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout, you will be able to travel to monumental locations like Cobra Headquarters and the U.S.S. Flagg through an original story inspired by the 80s-style comics. You will take on 18 campaign missions featuring iconic vehicles and boss battles in single-player or local split-screen co-op. The game will have 12 playable characters to choose from including Duke, Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander, Destro, Roadblock, Storm Shadow, and more.
Each soldier will have its own unique powers and you can customize them even further with a variety of weapons and skins. The game also has a multiplayer feature and will feature modes like Capture the Flag, Assault, and King of the Hill. The game will be exclusively distributed in EMEA by Maximum Games and GameMill Entertainment is taking care of the publication. Check out the reveal trailer for G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout below:
The trailer showcases some of the in-game gameplay as well and so far the game looks promising. It all boils down to the final release of the title to see whether it is actually good or not. The game will also feature PvP online which means that you will be able to dish out against other players from around the world as well so server-stability is going to play a vital role in making the game a success or a failure. Since the singleplayer campaign features 18 missions, you will be spending a lot more time online once you are done with the main campaign of the game.
