Warner Bros. Games and HBO have announced the launch of the Game of Thrones: Conquest major update for the four-year celebration of the game. The new update brings Battlgrounds, a new feature that invites players to tale on challenging group content in the popular mobile strategy game.
The update will allow players to relive iconic moments from the Emmy Award-Winning TV Show. The 30-minute instanced events will test out your strategy and perseverance against powerful new enemies, encouraging players to work closely with their Allegiance to defeat formidable opponents as they dive into the lore of Game of Thrones.
If you are at Keep Level 8, you can access Battlegrounds via the Iron Gate. This is a new access point building in your city. Once Allegiance leaders start the event, members can then enter the instance together as a single Battalion using keys called Chronicles of Conflict, which are earned by completing the game’s daily tasks. Working with your Allegiance in these strategic battle events will give you unique rewards.
Battlegrounds event will kick off with The Great Ranging, where Allegiances may join the Night’s Watch to go to the Wall in the unforgiving frozen tundra to combat the horrors that reside beyond the wall. You will find unyielding monsters like the Pale Spider, Wight Wolf, and Wight Bear, aggressively scaling in difficulty, regenerating health, and requiring you to time your attacks for a successful defeat of each enemy.
The Great Ranging is just the beginning when talking about the new game mode, Battlegrounds. With instanced, on-demand maps, this opens the door to both familiar faces returning to the game, as well as opportunities to explore all-new battle scenarios and locations never-before-seen in the history of Game of Thrones: Conquest.
The game will also be getting new monsters in future updates that will require even more player coordination.
