Merge Games and Still Running have released two brand new gameplay trailers at Gamescom 2020 of their upcoming title Morbid: The Seven Acolytes. The new trailers showcase brand new gameplay from Morbid: The Seven Acolytes and were presented during the Future Games Show and the IGN’s Gamescom Studio. Morbid: The Seven Acolytes is Still Running’s upcoming isometric Horrorpunk action game that takes its inspiration from Lovecraftian horror and Cronenbergian gore.
During the Future Games Show, the trailer was with commentary from the game’s Composer, Sound Designer, and Writer Simo Talasranta who details the main concept of the game and what players can expect from exploring the dark and gritty world of Mornia in Morbid: The Seven Acolytes. Players will explore a diverse fantasy world where they will fight epic bosses and experience-rich RPG mechanics that will allow them to level up their character.
Players will be able to tailor the characters to their own playstyle as well. The game also features a fully orchestrated soundtrack. The game’s world is full of lore that players can discover through various NPCs and characters. They will be free to explore the open-world environments of the game when the title launches on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
