NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Launching Next Month in Late February

According to the latest information, the NVIDIA RTX 3060 graphics cards is planned to launch in the last week of February. This information was posted by sources of Videocardz and wccftech, and according to them the RTX 3060 would be launching in the last week of February. The date, however, is not confirmed as of yet and may be moved around if circumstances change.

According to the news sources, NVIDIA is planning for a hard launch for the RTX 3060 graphics card and if the retailers have found a way to deal with the miners and scalpers, then the stocks of RTX 3060 will be good, according to NVIDIA.

The release schedule of the RTX 3060 as revealed by Videocardz is as follows:

  • 30th December: Press and influencer seeding list for the RTX 3060 provided by AICs.
  • 19th February: AICs can start seeding samples to press on this date.
  • End of February: Review embargo lifts (likely around 28th February)
  • End of February: RTX 3060 on-shelf availability begins.

The RTX 3060 is powered by the GA106-300 GPU which has 28 SM units enabled which makes a total of 3584 CUDA cores and 112 TMUs. It features a base clock of 1320 MHz and a boost clock of 1777 Mhz. With that CUDA core count, the RTX 3060 GPU can hit a peak horsepower of 12.7 TFLOPs – which is almost on par with the older Turing based flagships.

The GeForce RTX 3060 comes packed with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory. The memory runs across a 192-bit bus wide interface and features an effective clock speed of 17.00 Gbps. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060 also comes packed with next-generation RT (Raytracing) cores, Tensor cores, and brand-new SM or streaming multi-processor units. The graphics card has a TDP of 170W.

The RTX 3060 will retail for $329 and will be a brilliant budget card for gamers. We hope that NVIDIA can provide a decent supply for it.
