Endings Guide – Ghost of Tsushima

Our Ghost of Tsushima Endings Guide details everything that you need to know about multiple endings in Ghost of Tsushima.

How to Unlock Multiple Endings in Ghost of Tsushima

If you are curious about knowing about different endings of Ghost of Tsushima, then you should know that it comes with two unique endings. Luckily, there are no secret endings here so all you get is two different endings. Before you proceed with this guide, you should know that this guide has SPOILERS so if you want to avoid any story related spoilers, do not proceed with this guide. To begin with, before you start the fight with Shimura, save your game manually and then you can simply reload it later to get the other ending as well.

Ghost of Tsushima Ending #1 – Kill Shimura

The first option that you get for the ending is that you Kill Shimura. If you want to go for this ending, simply press and hold L2 and then press X to confirm your choice. This will trigger the cutscene where you execute Shimura.

Ghost of Tsushima Ending #2 – Spare Shimura

For the second ending, you can press and hold R2 and then select X to spare Shimura’s life. This will trigger the cutscene where Jin walks away from Shimura after sparing his life.

Results

Since both endings come with the same trophy, the choice ultimately falls in your hand whether you want to kill or spare Shimura. Apart from the different cutscene, the only difference is that if you skill Shimura, your armor color is black and white while if you spare Shimura, your armor color is red.
