NVIDIA CMP (Crypto Mining Processor) cards have started to pop up online. A picture of the Gigabyte CMP 30HX card has leaked out online which details the design of the card. The Gigabyte 30HX CMP GPU has mining configured GPU along with custom dual-fan cooling which should deliver optimized thermals in mining rigs.
The NVIDIA CMP 30HX GPU card is the entry-level CMP GPU which is based on the Turing GPU architecture. The NVIDIA CMP 30HX GPU will be powered by the TU116-100-A1 GPU core. The core is expected to feature 1408 CUDA cores and 6 GB GDDR6 memory running across a 192-bit bus interface. The CMP 30HX has a rated TDP of 125W and the GPU has a PCB number of PG161 SKU 90.
The Gigabyte variant of the CMP 30HX was pictured by Videocardz. The Gigabyte 30HX has a custom-designed PCB and two-fan cooler. From the picture, the cooler seems to be the one that is used in Gigabyte’s Windforce cards.
There is no backplate on the 30 HX CMP card but the cooler itself is dual-slot in design and carries over the Windforce 2X cooling solution which will deliver good GPU thermals. The heatsink under the shroud is made up of several aluminum fins and makes use of massive copper heat pipes to dissipate heat. The card uses a single 8-pin connector for power. It should deliver it the required power within the TDP range.
