Dark Lord and Daedalic Entertainment have revealed new information about their upcoming cyberpunk top-down action game Glitchpunk. Glitchpunk is slated for release in Early Access next month and it will feature New Baltia as the game’s first playable city. New Baltia will offer around eight hours of content right at launch however new content is not far away.
Initially, Outpost Texas was also planned for release right at the launch however it has been delayed for the time being. It will now release three or four weeks after the Early Access release in the form of the first major patch for the game. This will add another six to eight hours of gameplay to the game. The decision was made after developers decided that it was best to add smaller chunks to the game to deliver a game that is in its perfect form rather than rushing things.
With New Baltia as the first city and the second city Outpost Texas arriving after three or four weeks, the game will also get two additional cities Neo Tokyo and Moscow. Both of them will be added to Glitchpunk during its Early Access phase as well. Each city will bring its own unique gangs and characters but will continue the protagonist’s story without any obstacles. Additional details about the upcoming cities will be released as development progresses on the title.
The developer will also share a detailed road map after the game’s launch. Glitchpunk is essentially a top-down game inspired by GTA 2 but set in a cyberpunk-themed world. You play as a glitching android going against your own programming that you did for tyrannical governments and megacorps of the dystopian near future. Glitchpunk offers a massive arsenal of weapons and items to choose from in your destructive journey.
