God of War Ragnarok Crafting Guide – Tips and Tricks for Efficient Crafting

This God of War Ragnarok Crafting Guide will share some tips and tricks on how you can use crafting and find various resources that are required for some of the most important crafting items in the game.

Crafting Guide

Crafting plays a vital role in God of War Ragnarok, and you will be spending a lot of time in the game crafting new armor pieces, and other useful items in the game. Below, you will find some tips that will help you maximize your crafting skills and some tips on how to use crafting to its fullest.

Use Transmog for Your Favourite Look

This is one important feature to use if you want your Kratos to look the same throughout your adventure, but you also want to switch up his armor pieces for improved stats overall. With Transmog, you can look like your favorite armor sets while keeping the added stats and bonuses of the much better armor sets. Simply equip what armor you want to use primarily for their stats and then use Transmog to keep the looks of the armor set that fancies your eyes. Raid Muspelheim for Rare Resources

Muspelheim realm contains some of the rarest of the resources that you will need for your crafting however you cannot access this realm right from the start of the game. You will need to find two Muspelheim Seeds before you can access this realm. Once you get access to this realm, visit it and you can take part in The Crucible. Taking part in The Crucible will give you access to rare resources and materials which are not available elsewhere. Make sure that you visit this realm as soon as you can and take part in The Crucible.

Look Out for Debris Filled with Resources

Similar to the original God of War, in God of War Ragnarok, while you are sailing the seas of the Nine Realms or sledding around icy landscapes, there will be debris scattered at random locations which give you small amounts of Hacksilver and other generic resources. These do not have any specific points but are rather scattered around in the waters and land so keep your eyes peeled for these debris piles and make sure you break them open for smaller amounts of resources.

Equip Armor Sets for Bonuses

While you may be tempted to use armor pieces from various sets, the best bonuses are obtained when you equip a complete set of armor as this will allow you to stack buffs and bonuses on top of each other. For special armor sets, each armor piece complements the other by adding its percentage of a particular bonus to the mix as well. For example, if the chest is offering a 10% bonus, while the wrist and belt offer 5% each, you can combine all three pieces together for a total of 20% bonus. Full sets help massively if you are targeting a specific build but then again, you are free to equip whatever armor pieces you want.

Sell Armor Pieces That You Are Not Using

It makes perfect sense because, in God of War Ragnarok, chances are that you will always use one particular armor set for the majority of the game. There will be very few players who will keep switching their armor pieces all the time with each other so when you have moved to a better armor set or piece, sell the old one that you do not need and is just making your inventory hefty. When you have any armor piece that you do not want to use anymore, simply go to Brok and Sindri and they will gladly take it off your hands in exchange for Hacksilver and sometimes resources as well.

Frozen Flame and Chaos Flame Cannot be Farmed

Two of the most important and rarest of the crafting resources are Frozen Flame and Chaos Flame as they allow you to upgrade your primary weapons in the game. As soon as you get either a Frozen Flame or a Chaos Flame, you should instantly upgrade your main weapons to make them more powerful. You can only find them outside of the main story once you have completed the main story of the game and you can use them for additional upgrades. They are normally only obtained at key points while playing the main story of the game.
