Sony Santa Monica Studio has finally announced the release date for God of War Ragnarok and has also revealed the Collector’s Edition of the game. The news comes after Sony Santa Monica Studio confirmed back in April 2022 that the title will still release this year. God of War Ragnarok will release on PS5 and PS4 on November 9, 2022. To celebrate the release date announcement, the developer has also shared a brand-new CGI trailer for the game which we have linked below for you.
Pre-orders for God of War Ragnarock will start on July 15, 2022, at 10:00 AM and the studio has also shared details on the various editions of God of War Ragnarok including the super cool Collector’s Edition and Jötnar Edition. Pre-orders will also come with different bonuses and if you buy the game right at its launch, you will get launch editions as well. The two limited editions stealing the showcase include the Collector’s Edition and the Jötnar Edition.
If you decide to purchase God of War Ragnarok before its launch, you will get the Kratos Risen Snow Armor and the Atreus Risen Snow Tunic.
The God of War Standard Edition (digital and physical) come with the full game for your chosen console PS4 or PS5. If you purchase the PS4 version of the game, it can later be upgraded to the PS5 version for $10. The Digital Deluxe Edition of the game includes:

The Collector’s Edition of God of War Ragnarok comes inside a beautiful box representing the Knowledge Keeper’s Shrine. This shrine was of the triptychs that Kratos and Atreus came across in God of War (2018) which depicted the tale of a powerful seer, the Giant Sorceress called Groa. It was Groa who first had the vision of Ragnarok. The Collector’s Edition includes:

- A Steelbook Display Case (no game disc included) – The God of War Ragnarök Steelbook Display Case depicts renditions of the Bear and the Wolf.
