The National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers has corrected the tally of video game nominations for God of War Ragnarok. Previously, the report cited 23 nominations however it has now been revised and the corrected tally is 24 nominations. With the correct information, God of War Ragnarok now ties with The Last of Us Part II which two years ago in 2020 had set the same record for most nominations ever. In doing so, God of War Ragnarok has also surpassed the original God of War title released in 2018 which set the record with 22 nominations.
The NAVGTR Awards 57 competitive categories recognize achievement in animation, art direction, character design, controls, game design, game engineering, musical score, sound effects, writing, and more. Since its inception, the academy has recognized over 6,816 talented individuals. The final tallies are:
