Godfall Weapon Classes Guide

Below we have detailed all the weapon classes in the game.

Dual Blades

Dual Blades are the fastest weapon you can use in the game. While they deal the lowest damage per hit, their speed more than makes up for their damage output. Dual Blades come in handy against smaller enemy types with low armor.

Dual Blades also mean that they don’t have a lot of range, meaning you will have to be up close with a target to take them down.

Weapon Techniques:

  • Northern Technique – Inner Focus: Charged attack that deals high damage
  • Southern Technique – Mortal Coil: Thrown your weapon at a target and then put them close to you.

Longswords

These are your normal weapons that fall most players will like to use right from the start. This weapon class is balanced for beginner’s and features powerful techniques. While their speed is not as great as the Dual Blades, they are still pretty decent with their damage output and range.

As a more balanced class, the weapons have short cooldown periods and easier to use weapon combos

Weapon Techniques:

  • Northern Technique – Spectral Flurry: A flurry of damaging cuts at a single target
  • Southern Technique – Spiral Technique: Dash ahead and perform a devastating slash against any target in front of you.

Greatswords

Greatswords are two-handed weapons because of the sheer size of these large swords. As you can expect, they deal high amounts of damage which falls just short of what Warhammers produce.

Unsurprisingly, Giantswords are slow with their speed, which is evident by their attack animation, but their range is quite decent allowing you to hit a few smaller targets with one slash

Weapon Techniques:

  • Northern Technique – Whirlwind: Leap forward with a spinning attack with the weapon.
  • Southern Technique – Great Throw: Throw the weapon in front which will damage all targets in its trajectory. If timed well, the weapon returns to you after a throw.

Warhammers

Warhammers are the biggest and slowest weapons you can use. However, the deal the most amount of damage out of any other weapon class in the game. As you can guess, their speed is pretty slow, but their damage output is the highest.

Warhammers are also close-range weapons, which means that in order to ensure maximum damage per hit, you have to get up close with each target you are fighting against.

Weapon Techniques:

  • Northern Technique – Concussive Smash: Smash the weapon on the ground which deals damage to any targets nearby
  • Southern Technique – Unstoppable Force: Smash the hammer on the ground which will damage any target in a straight line.

Polearms

Polearms give you the most range you can get with your attacks but are surprisingly low damage dealing weapons. The speed is not too bad as well, but you can even throw the weapons at the target.

Polearms are great to keep enemies away at a distance from you. Creating space between enemies or bosses will give you more time to dodge around and counterattack.

Weapon Techniques:

  • Northern Technique – Polearm Slam: Jump up in the air and slam the ground to damage any nearby targets.
  • Southern Technique – Javelin Throw: Thrown your weapon like a javelin at the target.
