Feral Interactive has released the schedule for the upcoming multiplayer updates for GRID Autosport. It turns out that local and online multiplayer will arrive in two separate updates for the Nintendo Switch version of GRID Autosport. Feral had announced earlier that the game will launch with only the singleplayer mode but the multiplayer mode is in development and will arrive in the game later as a free update.
Feral has now announced that the local multiplayer will arrive later this month on December 16, 2019. The update will add 2 player split-screen and local wireless multiplayer for up to 8 players which will allow players to have local multiplayer races in GRID Autosport. Players waiting for the online multiplayer will need to wait until 2020 because it will arrive in the second update next year.
Starting next week, you will be able to play GRID Autosport locally on the same console with another player or have a local wireless party with up to eight other racers and race for the finish line together. If you don’t have anyone to play the game locally, you will need to wait until 2020 when online multiplayer comes out for the game. Feral has not announced a confirmed release date for online multiplayer but it might arrive as soon as Spring 2020.
GRID Autosport released on Nintendo Switch back in September 2019 and it brings the complete GRID Autosport to Nintendo’s flagship console. It not only includes the base game but also each and every DLC pack released for the game post-release. For Nintendo Switch, Feral Interactive published the title just like their most-recent port release Alien: Isolation on Nintendo Switch.
