New Grounded Content Update Arrives with Ziplines, Hedges and Pumpkins

Obsidian Entertainment has released a new update for Grounded which brings new content and much better localization support. Ever since the release of the game back in July 2020, the game has received several content updates adding new content and fixes to the game. This time around, Obsidian has also released a developer vlog detailing all of the new changes and updates.

Check out the new vlog below before we jump into the details.

The new content update vlog is dived into four parts where Obsidian’s Social Media Manager, Shyla details changes and fixes, new content added to the game, Halloween Holiday and what you can expect in the future to arrive in Grounded. To start with, you now have French, Spanish, Italian and German language support in the game. Additional languages will arrive in the game in future as well. Coming to gameplay, as you roam around, you will notice that spider webs will now entangle random bugs and critters as well along with you and your friends.

Different insects in the game have been adjusted to make them more balanced in different sections. Soldier Ants now have some additional moves and are much better at supporting each other in fights. Stink Bugs have become stinkier while the Bombardier Beetles have received a reduction in physical damage, but their acid attacks have increased damage now. The new damage changes are now in place.

Food management is now easier as you now have a timer in the inventory that shows how much life that particular food item has left before it rots. This is also for cooked meals. Ant Eggs no longer stack in your inventory however they now have a timer which shows when they will hatch in your inventory. However, they will not hatch while they are in your inventory. These are some of the major changes that have arrived with the new update.

Apart from the fixes and changes, you now have some cool new content in the game as well. Starting with the brand-new Hedge Lab, when you go to the Hedge, you will find the brand new abandoned lab that you can explore and find some cool new stuff. You will also find the new Ziplines in there that you can place anywhere after you unlock them. A new craftable item Spinning Wheel is now available as well.

Spinning Wheel will allow you to craft materials while you are out exploring the wilds and will come really handy in the game. Just insert the raw materials and add the items you need in queue and when you come back, your resources will be ready and waiting for you saving a lot of time that you would otherwise need for crafting everything yourself. You can further customize your base with the new signs. Keeping in the holiday spirit, you will find many Halloween themed items throughout the backyard as well.

Are you looking forward to jumping back in Grounded to try out the new content? Let us know in the comments section below.
