Grounded Gets First Content Update, Bird Added to the Game

Grounded Content Update

Obsidian Entertainment released Grounded last month and it was received very positively despite being in Early Access. The developer has now released the very first content update for Grounded and it brings a new way to enhance your character, new ways to decorate the base, a new piece of armor, new quest types from BURG.L, and a brand new visitor to the backyard.

Starting with the player perks, as you explore the backyard, you will continue to unlock perks which will cause small mutations to your character. With the help of these mutations, you will be able to cut grass faster, increase health, improve defenses, and much more. You can have up to three mutations equipped at the same time and more mutations will be added to the game in the future.

Grounded already had a decent amount of things to build in the game however with the new update, builders can now opt for new fences, tables, and a new resting spot. New items include Sprig Fence, Acorn Picket Fence, Grass Table, and Clover Table. A bed is also now available for you to build in the game allowing you to sleep more comfortably as well. For crafting the bed, however, you need to find a new ingredient that is only available at one place in the game.

If you head to the backyard, you will meet a new friend the bird. You can use the bird’s feathers to craft a bird along with a new Marksman’s Cap. With the arrival of the Bird, it is now the biggest creature in the game. Additional details about each of these new additions can be found in the official Vlog of the developer on YouTube.

Grounded is now available on Xbox Game Preview, Game Pass, Windows 10 Store, and Steam Early Access. If you need some help with the game, make sure that you check out our Grounded guides below:
