Obsidian Entertainment is all set for the next-gen consoles by announcing their latest title, Grounded, to be optimized with an update for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S upon launch.
The consoles are less than a month away from launching, and Obsidian Entertainment wants to waste no time in getting the game ready for the next-gen consoles with increased graphics fidelity, improved loading times, and higher frame rates.
In a post on the news section of the Xbox website, the director of communications at Obsidian Entertainment, Mikey Dowling talked about the future update for Grounded.
For existing players or those that are about to take their first thrilling step into the backyard, Grounded will be optimized for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S using Smart Delivery technology giving players an automatic upgrade to the best version of the game for no additional cost.
Grounded will target 60fps on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, offering unparalleled gameplay performance for next-generation console players, with full 4K support on the Xbox Series X that will help showcase the game’s intricate ant-sized world in incredible detail.
Dowling also adds that players will immediately notice the increased graphics fidelity, improved loading times, and the HDR support, thanks to the power of the new Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. He goes on to say that each blade of the grass and every single aphid will look spectacular on your screen.
Last week, the developers launch the patch update 0.3.2 for Grounded that game with the following fixes:
MAJOR ISSUES
- Fixed client crash when ziplines exist in the yard across very large distances
- Fixed random crashes when traversing the yard
- Fixed crash related to Frankenline when loading a saved game
- Fixed crash for clients when joining a game near a Spinning Wheel / Roasting Spit / Jerky Rack that currently has processing items on it
- Fixed random crashes when syncing cloud saves
